APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A Restore or Retrieve operation may fail if the three following
  conditions are true:
  
  1) Restore / Retrieve must be for a sparse file or file with a
     reparse point.
  2) The file was saved with option "skipntpermission" set to
     "yes"
  3) The file is Restored / Retrieved with option "replace=no" or
     "replace=prompt"
  
  The error is:
   ANS4012E  'filespace namepath-namefile-name' already exists. It
    will be skipped.
  
  Tivoli Storage Manager Versions Affected:   All Windows V7.1.x
  and V6 clients.
  
  Customer/L2 Diagnostics :
  
  This problem was found when restoring NTFS deduplicated
  filesystems, but that may happen with other sparse/reparse point
  files as well if "skipntpermission" is being used.
  
  Initial Impact:  Medium

Local fix

• - Run the Restore / Retrieve using  "replace=all" or
    "replace=yes"
  - Backup / Archive  the file again with "skipntpermission=no" if
    that is still possible.
