Error description
Running client version 7.1.3.x or 7.1.4.x with English language, and using "help" from dsmc, the messages in range of ANS4000E to ANS4999E will return: "The help topic you entered (4XXX) was not found." For example: dsmc help 4007 which returns: "The help topic you entered (4007) was not found." But there is a help info with message 14007: dsmc help 14007 ANS14007E Error processing 'filespace namepath-namefile-name': access to the object is denied Explanation: Access to the specified file or directory is denied. You tried to read from or write to a file and you do not have access permission for either the file or the directory. System action: Processing stopped. User response: Ensure that you specified the correct file or directory name, correct the permissions, or specify a new location. Online knowledgecenter also displays information for the messages with a leading 1 as well. Non-english language will display correctly. For example using German language of LANG=de_DE dsmc help 4007 Result: ANS4007E Fehler bei Verarbeitung von 'DateibereichsnamePfadnameDateiname': Zugriff auf das Objekt verweigert Erläuterung: Zugriff auf angegebene Datei oder Verzeichnis verweigert. Der Benutzer hat versucht, eine Datei zu lesen oder in eine Datei zu schreiben, und er hat entweder für die Datei oder für das Verzeichnis keine Zugriffsberechtigung. Systemaktion: Die Verarbeitung wurde gestoppt. Benutzeraktion: Sicherstellen, daà die richtige Datei oder der richtige Verzeichnisname angegeben wurde, die Berechtigung korrigieren oder einen neuen Standort angeben. Use 'dsmc help 1xxxx' with leading 1 in front of message code ie. dsmc help 14007 (ie for 4007 message)

Problem conclusion
Command dsmc help correctly processes the help messages with ID in range of 4000 to 4999.
Temporary fix
A fix for this problem is currently targeted for interim fix package 7.1.4.4. Until the interim fix is actually available this information is subject to change at the discretion of IBM.
