APAR status

Error description

  • The number of listening connections keeps growing.
This can be seen using netstat and reviewing Perimeter.log for
"listening" count increase.
If counts reach near 4000, further connection requests to/from
application may be denied.

Problem Description:
Netstat reports a large number of sockets in LISTENING status.
Sockets can be traced back to noapp process (pid). The listening
port numbers are in 'Local Data Port Range' specified in an FTP
Client Adapter configuration.
Perimeter.log file also shows increase in the number of
listening connections.
