APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • After an application closes a connection to the queue
manager the queue manager continues to send messages
    to the application.
If the messages are non-persistent the potential exists
for the messages to be lost.

Local fix

  • Set SHARECNV(0) on the channel used by the application
to connect to the queue manager.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A race condition in the IBM MQ code caused an asynchronous
consume thread to be incorrectly resumed after it had been
suspended by a client. The result of this was that the client
might receive one or more messages in error.

Problem conclusion

  • The IBM MQ code was corrected so that the asynchronous consume
thread would not be resumed if a client had specifically asked
    for it to be suspended.
