Error description

  • When all Tivoli Storage Manager Servers are not configured or
    in Critical state, under the "TSM Servers" window in the
    Operations Center GUI, the Daily Email Report is not sent and
    the following error is logged in into the tsm_opscntr.log log

Local fix

  • The Status value "Critical" is based on the health of the
    Database, Active Log and Archive Log.
    Investigate and find the root cause of the Server CRITICAL
    status (for example, the Spectrum Protect Server is running out
    of space for Active Log).
    Once fixed, when the Server status will be back to NORMAL, the
    Daily Report process will re-start to work normally and email is
    properly sent.
