Error description

• Error Description:
  New installation of Tivoli Storage Manager client 7.1.2.1,
  7.1.2.2, and 7.1.2.3 on Windows 2008 R2 (no service pack)
  Multiple language version is successful,
  but execution files such as dsmc.exe, dsmadmc.exe and dsm.exe
  fail to start with the following pop-up message.
  
     dsmc.exe  - system error -
     "The program can not start because MSVCR110.dll is missing
      from your computer. To fix this problem, install
      the program again."
  
  The client's installation program does not install "Microsoft
  Visual C++ 2012 SU1 Redistributable Package (x64).

   to install "Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 SU1 Redistributable

Problem conclusion

• The installation of the Microsoft C++ 2012 Runtime prerequisite,
  required by the Tivoli Storage Manager Client, has been updated
  to allow installation on Windows 2008 (Standard). The exhibited
  error will no longer occur.
