• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When run in interactive mode, the BACKUP VM command completes
  successfully, but does not perform the backup as reported.
  Customer/L2 Diagnostics:
  This condition is possible when VMBACKUPTYPE FILE is specified
  in the dsm.opt file, but the BACKUP VM command contains
  -VMBACKUPTYPE=FULLVM in interactive mode.

Local fix

• Run the BACKUP VM command in batch mode.  Below is an example:
  DSMC BACKUP VM <vmname> -VMBACKUPTYPE=FULLVM
