Error description
When using Tivoli Storage Manager for Databases: Data Protection for Microsoft SQL Server to perform a database level restore of an application protection enabled VM backup that was created using Tivoli Storage Manager for Virtual Environments: Data Protection for VMware, the restore may report success but not actually restore the database to the SQL Server if the database is not the default SQL instance. Customer/L2 Diagnostics: When doing the restore via the Data Protection for Microsoft SQL GUI, it will report that the restore was successful. The Data Protection for VMware datamover will also will not report any errors and the Agent node will show that a number of files were restored and that the process was successful. However a SERVICE trace of the Agent Node (The Local BA Client node on the VM that contins the SQL server) will report, 07/24/2015 16:44:20.326 [005304] [2660] : ..\..\common\winnt\vssreq.cpp(3346): VssRequestor::addRestoreFiles: thisPath=<SQLHOSTSYSTEM1\SQLTESTDB\SQLINST1> 07/24/2015 16:44:20.326 [005304] [2660] : ..\..\common\winnt\vssreq.cpp(3347): VssRequestor::addRestoreFiles: fullPath=<SQLTESTDB\SQLINST1> These two paths should match.
