Tivoli Storage Manager Client "backup image" command on all platforms, can crash or hang when compression is enabled and "compressalways no" is set. Either use "compressalways yes" or do not use compression at all.

Problem conclusion
Image backup has been corrected, so now the backup will not hang or crash.
Temporary fix
A fix for this problem is currently targeted for interim fix package 6.3.2.5. Until the interim fix is actually available this information is subject to change at the discretion of IBM.
