Error description

• The backup of a Microsoft Hyper-V guest might fail with the
  following error when VM have two or more disks have same GUID:

  TSM for Hyper-V expects each virtual hard disk to have a unique
  ID. If a VM has multiple disks with the same ID the backup
  fails.
  

Local fix

• Use Powershell as administrator to run Set-VHD -Path
  "pathtocopieddisk" -ResetDiskIdentifier to generate a new disk
  ID for the copied disk. The virtual machine must be off for this
  operation to succeed if the disk is attached to a virtual
  machine. ( Applicable to Window 2012 R2 only)

Problem conclusion

• TSM client has been modified to stop backup of Hyper-V virtual
  machines with duplicate disk ID and issue the
  corresponding error message.
