Error description

  • DataPower extension function regexp:replace() might yield
    incorrect results when input text contains multi-byte
    characters.

Local fix

  • Users may use XQuery's fn:replace() instead of XSLT's
    regexp:replace().

Problem summary

  • Affected is the use of regexp:replace() EXSLT extension
    function.

    Matching should be done (unicode) character wise, but is done
    byte wise leading to wrong matches for multibyte UTF-8
    characters (UTF-8 is DataPower internal encoding).

Problem conclusion
