Error description

  • Audit log displaying error 6-1-50003 and the Gentran services
seem to be running fine. Unsettling to think there could be
infrastructure issues with connecting to RPC.

  • User Affected:
Customer experiencing communication problems with gencom97

Problem Description:
Audit Log error, 6-1-50003 RpcServerUseProtseqEp (Local) failed
at line 300: The endpoint is a duplicate, reported when gencom97
fails.

Problem conclusion

  • Resolution Summary:
Verified that error occurs if additional instances of gencom97
are started when it is already running.  Added additional
information to audit message,  RpcServerUseProtseqEp (Local)
failed at line 437: The endpoint is a duplicate. Another
instance of the program may already be running.
