APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When a Sql-execute call is made to Oracle JDBC driver, the call
is a stored procedure not within the SQL Data Source Objects
schema. If the Procedure returns complex types such as varrays
or structs, the response fields might be lost, replaced by
    '???'.

Local fix

  • Make Stored Procedure calls within the same schema, or return a
non-complex object such as a Varchar2 or Integer.

Problem summary

  • Customers who submit sql stored procedure query to Oracle
database with JDBC connection, DBCS data might be truncated if
    complex types are used.

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix
