APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When attempting to restore a VM, the following error is
reported:

ANS0324E (RC34) partialObjLength value for partial object
retrieve is invalid

This error is addressed in APAR IT06211 and is similar to
IC99000.  In those APARs it is recommended to use 'testflag
VMRESTORE_INCVMDKSIZE' so the restore will complete.  In some
situations, this testflag will cause the dsmagent.exe to crash.
The dsmcrash.log will show the following:
