Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
    This issue affects users of Business Process Manager v8 who are
    using their own custom primitive and seeing the
    NullPointerException and stack trace from the Error Description.
    
    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    The NullPointerException hides the underlying cause of the
    failure to load the custom primitive making problem
    determination difficult. This APAR will not directly resolve the
    issue but should allow it to be investigated further
    

Problem conclusion

  • The code was altered such that the underlying errors are not
    deleted by the error handling code but are still available for
    diagnostic investigation.
