Error description

• A Tivoli Storage Manager server tape operation may fail with
  I/O error ANR8302E, specifically with the I/O codes
   KEY=6, ASC=2A, ASCQ=03
  
  This problem may happen if the following conditions are true:
  
   - Library sharing environment with multiple Tivoli Storage
     Manager servers installed on the same host machine(s) or
     the same LPAR(s).
   - IBM library(ies) is used with IBM tape device driver.
   - Persistent reservation type is used like recommended in the
     Tivoli Storage Manager manual.
   - Several Tivoli Storage Manager servers ( library manager
     and/or library client servers ) are running on the same host
     and use the same HBA port to access the shared library
  drives.

  There are no errors or any other messages reported on the other
  servers at the same time. This happens because Tivoli Storage
  Manager server uses the same persistent reserve key for all
  Tivoli Storage Manager server instances for all drive
  reservations. If several servers are running on the same host
  and share an HBA port, the device driver has no way to identify
  who already owns the device and who tries to access it. The IBM
  tape driver may allow a "reserve preemption" to happen.
  
  Tivoli Storage Manager Versions Affected:
  Tivoli Storage Manager Server 6.3 and 7.1 on all supported
  platforms when IBM tape device driver is used.
