APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• For snapshot differential (snapdiff) backup operations, the
  backup-archive client creates and maintains a local "change log
  database" to track filer volume changes. If the client detects
  that the change log database was not closed correctly by a
  previous snapdiff backup operation, the backup operation stops
  with return code 12 and a scheduled backup operation is reported
   as "failed".

Local fix

• The problem can be temporary fixed until the correct code is
  applied running the SnapDiff backup using the CreateNewBase=Yes
  option:
  dsmc incremental -snapdiff -createnewbase=yes
  <path_to_the_volume>
