    NOTE: This problem occurs under the following set of
    conditions:
    
    1. Queue manager is running at the WebSphere MQ V8 code level.
    2. The channel has been enabled with SSL or TLS.
    3. The MQ Client code level is at any of the MQ 7.x
    versions(prior to V8).
    4. The MQ Client is attempting to put a message of size greater
    than 15KB (Approx.)
    5. An error is reported by the queue manager.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    This problem occurred because MQ v8 queue manager did not
    correctly calculate the maximum message segment size when
    communicating with MQ pre v8 SSL clients.
    

Problem conclusion

  • MQ has been modified to correctly calculate the maximum message
    segment size.
