Error description

  • The following error is thrown when the FTE Input Node receives
a transfer notification for a file over 2Gb in size:

BIP4367E: The method ''beforePropagate'' in Java node ''FTE
Input'' has thrown the following exception:
    'java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string:
    "4718843410"'.

The method ''beforePropagate'' of the Java node has thrown an
exception. Examine previous error messages for details of the
    cause of the problem.

This error is generated by the Java node API. It can occur in
a Java Compute node or a Java user-defined node. If the node is
a user-defined node, contact the node provider for further
    details.

The message contains that data associated with a Java exception.
    No user action required.

As long as each individual record is below either
    QSI_FILENODES_MAXIMUM_RECORD_LENGTH or 2Gb (whichever is
smaller) the node should be able to process the file.

There is hard limit of 2Gb preventing an entire file from being
parsed as a single record when the file is over 2Gb, this APAR
    does not remove this restriction.

Problem conclusion

  • The error no longer occurs when processing notification messages
for files over 2Gb in size.

There is a hard limit of 2Gb preventing an entire file from
being parsed as a single record when the file is over 2Gb. This
APAR does not remove this restriction.
