APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • With IBM Integration Bus (IIB) V9.0, the flow or node name for
which the error message BIP2604 is generated cannot be
    determined. Below is an example:

BIP2604E: Node failed to open WebSphere MQ queue 'queue_name'
owned by queue manager 'qm_name': completion code 2; reason code
    2085.

The context information was suppressed (by default) with IIB
V9.0 because it was usually unnecessary.

Local fix

  • set the environment variable MQSI_SYSLOG_COMPATIBILITY_FORMAT=1
This causes the required information to be appended to the
    event log/syslog.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
All users of IBM Integration Bus V9.0 using the MQInput Node.

    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform, z/OS

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
If the MQ queue associated with an MQInput node is not available
when the flow containing that node is deployed, the resulting
error message does not include the node name.

There are a number of resource name changes between WebSphere
Message Broker and IBM Integration Bus Version 9.0. For details

    tools.mft.doc/bb23814_.htm

Problem conclusion

  • The product includes an updated BIP message that includes either
the node name if it is available or the resource manager if the
queue is not owned by a flow.
