Error description

  • The client automatic deployment always waits for 2 hours
    before it removes temporary files from client machines.
    Prior to the actual client installation, the deployment
    can be aborted due to prerequisites failure.
    In this case, the cleanup should not wait for 2 hours.
    
    Customer/L2 Diagnostics:
    Current autodeployment code performs as designed.
    The effort on this APAR is to improve
    existing post cleanup operation.

Problem conclusion

  • The backup-archive client automatic deployment on the Windows
    platform now immediately removes all installation images and
    other temporary files if the client deployment process is not
    started.
