Error description

  • Users Affected:
Gentran:Server for Microsoft Windows version 5.3.1

After restoring data from an archive in version 5.3.1, if you
go into the Restored Interchanges browser you can view the raw
data from the panes on the right but you cannot right click and
open the Gentran Data (on the interchange or document level) in
its own window. The error above occurs when using the internal
viewer and when a third-party viewer is specified for EDI data
(See Preferences) and no data is loaded to the window.

Local fix

Circumvention:
View the raw edi data from the middle pane on the right of the
Restored Interchange Browser.

Problem summary

  • User Affected: Customers viewing EDI data in Restored
Interchange browser.


Problem Description: Restored Interchange browser could report
"Problem Loading Data" in a pop-up window, regardless of data
viewer selected.

Problem conclusion

  • Resolution Summary: Corrected defect in query of the Interchange
 table when searching for EDI data, within the Restore
Interchange browser.
