APAR status

Error description

• When using the following command:
  dsmc backup vm "vmmachinename" -vmchost="vmchostname"
      -mode=ifincr -asnodename=asnodename -VMVSTORTRANSPORT=NBD
      -vmprocessvmwithprdm=yes -vmprocessvmwithindependent=yes
      -VMSKIPMAXVMDKS=yes
  The vmskipmaxvmdks option is not valid on the command line.
  However, the manual for Tivoli Storage Manager for Virutal
  Environments state:
  
     Restriction: Each individual VMDK involved in a backup
     operation cannot exceed 2 TB. If a VMDK exceeds 2 TB,
  the backup operation filas. To prevent a failure you
  can skip processing the VMDK by specifiying the
     VMSKIPMAXVMDKS yes in the Tivoli Storage Manager backup
     Archive client options file or during the dsmc invocation.
  As stated in the manual the option should be valid on the
  command line.
  Customer/L2 Diagnostics: ANS1108E Invalid option
  (-VMSKIPMAXVMDKS) for the BACKUP command is logged in the
  dsmerror.log
  

Local fix

• Specify the VMSKIPMAXVMDKS yes in the dsm.opt file being
  used by the virutal machine.
