IR47894: ITEMS WITH PRICING METHOD 4 FINAL VALUE COUPON AND REQUIRING MANUAL ENTRY INCORRECTLY CALCULATE THE FINAL DISCOUNT

APAR status

Error description

• Items requiring manual price entry that have a pricing method 4
  4 final value coupon are incorrectly calculating the final
  discount
  

Local fix

• When a customer scans a price imbedded item (an item that starts
    with a /2) and there is a problem with the barcode (whether it
    is a check digit issue, unreadable abr code, etc) manually
    entering the price will cause the associated coupon to issue
    for the wrong amount.
  An example:
    Scan a customer number.
    Enter /27080600000 (price imbedded item)
  You are prompted for a Price, Enter a price of 10.00
  Notice a coupon is issued. The coupon is issued for 9.23.
    This is incorrect. The setup of the coupon  is such the coupon
    should be issued for .77 cents a pound, not the whole package
    for .77 cents.
  

Problem summary

•  When manually entering a weight of a upc-2
  item the coupon will issue for an incorrect amount.
  

Problem conclusion

•  Code was modified to take the correct coupon
  amount off when a manual weight needed to be entered.
