Error description
Client is trying to set up CM 8.7.0.3 and the LDAP users are unable to to login. The ICN UI remains in "loading" state for some time and "Invalid User ID or Password" is shown. The local users created within CM are able to login and perform all the operations. Synching users with LDAP is working fine.
Local fix
(1) with FP3 User exit, in cmbcmenv.properties, for LDAP_PROVIDER_URL, add ":" and port number at the end of to make the format like ldap://hostname:50071. This is recommended. (I have tested this already) (2) use CM87 GA User exit. (this is what customer is using now)
Problem summary
After upgrading to IBM Content Manager v8.7.0.3, LDAP user exit authentication returns error 81 when using non-default port for non-SSL connection.
Problem conclusion
Problem resolved in Content Manager v8.7 fix pack 4.
