Error description
The SMP/E HTTPS client does not support the TLS cryptographic handshake protocol. If the RECEIVE FROMNETWORK or RECEIVE ORDER commands, or the GIMGTPKG service routine, attempt to connect to a server that supports TLS but does not support the SSL protocol, then the SMP/E client ends with error message GIM69207S: "PROCESSING HAS FAILED BECAUSE THE CONNECTION WITH THE SERVER FAILED. javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: Remote host closed connection during handshake." SMP/E must be updated to use the TLS protocol for the cryptographic handshake to support servers that no longer support SSLv3.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of the SMP/E RECEIVE ORDER or * * RECEIVE FROMNETWORK commands, or the SMP/E * * GIMGTPKG service routine. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Message GIM69207S is issued with an * * SSLHandShakeException during SMP/E * * RECEIVE and GIMGTPKG processing when * * attempting to connect to a server that * * supports the TLS protocol but not the * * SSL protocol. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** During SMP/E RECEIVE FROMNETWORK, RECEIVE ORDER or GIMGTPKG processing, an SSLHandShakeException can occur when the SMP/E Java client attempts to establish an HTTPS connection to either an order or download server which only supports the TLS protocol and not SSL. . Message MSGGIM69207S is issued: GIM69207S: "PROCESSING HAS FAILED BECAUSE THE CONNECTION WITH THE SERVER FAILED. javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: Remote host closed connection during handshake." . The SMP/E Java Client has been updated to support the use of the TLS protocol for the cryptographic handshake with HTTP servers that no longer support using the SSL protocol.
Problem conclusion
The SMP/E java classes GIMJVCNI and GIMJVGIN were modified to support using the TLS protocol when an HTTPS connection is established to a server that does not support SSL. H00Y J00Y GIMJVCNI GIMJVGIN GIMJVLVL GIMLEVEL
