Error description
customer reported in order for the terminal mbrowser to access the web a resolv file must exist even though the contents are bogus (uncommented entry found in sample resolv).
Local fix
Problem summary
the linux side was being set up using dns information based solely on the resolv file.
Problem conclusion
check for the DNS information from DHCP and logical filenames first. DHCP DNS will override the resolv file
