Error description
Within IBM WEBi the message "The Java Runtime Environment (JRE) was not found on your workstation" is received when a user attempts to view a document. This message only occurs when the user is using JRE version 1.7.0.4+. If the Registry key JavaPlugin is not created in the registry HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/JavaPlugin/CLSID the error will generally occur.
Local fix
Install JRE 1.7.0.3 or below or create the registry key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/JavaPlugin/CLSID with a value of {5852F5ED-8BF4-11D4-A245-0080C6F74284}
