Error description

  • When attempting to route an item through a decision point based
    upon a worknode variable, the following error message displays:

    com.ibm.mm.beans.CMBException: DGL4052A: Unable to continue a
    document routing process; ICM7028: An error occured when
    preparing a SQL statement. The SQL statement does not have a
    valid syntax. Turn on trace to see the SQL statement text.
    (STATE) : [LS RC = 7028, SQL RC = -204]

    The problematic query in the library server debug log displays
    as follows:

    SELECT 1 FROM ICMADMIN.ICMUT00204001 WP WHERE ( EXISTS (SELECT 1
    FROM ICMADMIN.ICMADMIN.ICMUT00208001 CD WHERE
    ((WP.ICMORIGCOMPID=CD.PARENTCOMPID OR
    CD.PARENTCOMPID=WP.COMPONENTID) AND....
    The item in question is not routed.

Local fix

  • As a workaround, edit <install_dir>/cmgmt/sa/cmadmin.properties,
    and add the line:

    existsQuery=0

    This line will change the SQL generation back to the previous,
    correct behavior. Next, recreate the process (or at least the
    decision point) to force the process builder to generate correct
    SQL. Once the fix has been applied, remove this line from
    cmadmin.properties.

Problem summary

  • The system administration client generated the incorrect SQL for
    this situation.

Problem conclusion

  • The SQL has been corrected. Once the fix has been applied, you
    must recreate the process or the decision point to force the
    system administration client to generate the correct SQL.

Temporary fix
