Error description

  • Customer has setup DM Print/Plot Service to print PDF's and when
    he submit to print 1 document that gets printed but the next
    document he cannot get that to print the second document as the
    print/plot service just hangs at the following place.

    Basically when DM Print/plot service is submit a PDF to print
    ,it launches Acrobat32.exe and it does not closes after print
    finishes. So,when we submit the second document print/plot just
    hangs.
    

Local fix

  • If we stop DM print/plot after each submission then we don't see
    this hang.

  • Worked with customer and setup a local printer with
    print-to-file with Priner port 'Local Port' and customer was
    able to print 40+ documents with out any issue.
    Since customer using network shared printer and configured
    printer port as "Standard TCP/IP Port" ,when DM is printing
    documents using print/plot service some delay in the
    networking,which might be causing this issue with customer.
    Told customer to install a priner local to DM print/Plot service
    and customer understands it and agree to close the issue.
