APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Customers custom code uses the rendition service to runa
    a plugin.  The plugin generates an INI file that contains an
    encrypted User ID, Password and token.
    The Rendition service is unable to use the token to de-encrypt
    the User ID and Password from the INI file.
    

Local fix

  • Provided the customer a developer fix and the Business partner
    that created the customer application provided the ability to
    enter a hardcoaded userID and Password.
    

Problem summary

  • Rendition service could not de-encrypt the userID and password
    For customers using the User Defined Rendition type:
    The Rendition service was unable to use the token to de-encrypt
    the User ID and Password from the INI file.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The fix is available in DB2 Document Manager V8.3 Fix Pack 9.
