Error description
Following an abnormal system restart due to power failure, system performs file system checks. Root (/) file system is ext3 @ 70+GB (default 4098 inode size presumed). System memory is 1GB RAM + 1GB swap. During file system check, e2fsck terminates with 'out of memory' error and booting halts. Customer has been instructed through fastboot recovery procedures for the purpose of obtaining diagnostic logs (submitted separately). However, system can not be considered in reliable state until passing file system checks. How can fsck be performed without need to add more system memory? If not, what other recommended procedure is there?
