IJ56717: CICS EXPLORER NOT HANDLING RACF CLASS NAME LENGTH CORRECTLY from DISCOVERY

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer is attempting to use CICS security discovery and had
  created an ESM file.
  
  That file loaded into CICS explorer without an issue but the
  attempted to rename the
  first resource group name it was displaying called 62ALLUSER by
  right clicking on the
  
  name and selecting "Edit member list ...."  and received a
  error message saying the
  
  "The name is too long".

Problem summary

• If an External Security Manager (ESM) file is created with a
  member list name that is longer than 8 characters but less
  than 16 characters (without having updated the maximum allowed
  length in the Security Discovery editor preferences) and then
  loaded into the Security Discovery editor, when the user
  attempts to edit that name in the Security discovery editor, an
  error is displayed in the edit dialog and the OK button is
  disabled.
  

Problem conclusion

• When an attempt to set a member list name for an External
  Security Manager (ESM) file with a length greater than the
  maximum allowed length is made, the user is told that they
  can update the maximum length in the Security Discovery editor
  preferences page.

  This fix will be made available in Version 5.5.47 (33.0.17) of
  the CICS Explorer.
