IJ51398: CURRENT INVENTORY AMOUNT OF THE UNSTOCK OPERATION RESULTS IS INCONSISTENT.

Error description

• PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  In some storage/return operations, there is an issue where the
  stock quantity is not consistent. In some storage/return
  operations (when required items are not included in the
  inventory information), the stock quantity should increase by
  the number of operations, but the stock quantity registered may
  be greater than the number of operations.
  
  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:   clear recreate steps that make sense to
  someone not involved in PMR/Case.
  1) Logged in to Maximo instance
  
  2) Opened the Inventory Application.
  
  3) From "Inventory" application, opened an item which has some
  stock. For example, open an item where the current balance is 2.
  
  
  Item: G2317
  
  4) Deleted the value in a required field like "Issue Unit".
  
  5) Went to more action and from "More Actions", selected "Issue
  Current Item" option.
  
  6) On "Issue Current Item" dialog, specified "1" for "Quantity"
  field, and RETURN for the Transaction Type field, and the valid
  value for "GL Debit Account" field.
  
  Quantity = 1
  
  Transaction Type = RETURN
  
  GL Debit Account = 6000-200-000
  7) Clicked OK and confirm the error message as below. BMXAA4195E
  - A value is required for the Issue Unit field on the INVENTORY
  object.
  
  8) Clicked OK to close the error message.
  
  9) Clicked Cancel to close "Issue Current Item" dialog.
  
  10) Specified the value for "Issue Unit".
  
  11) Went to more action and from "More Actions", selected
  "Issue Current Item".
  
  12) On "Issue Current Item" dialog, specified "1" for
  "Quantity" field, and RETURN for the Transaction Type field, and
  the valid value for "GL Debit Account" field.
  
  Quantity = 1
  
  Transaction Type = RETURN
  
  GL Debit Account = 6000-200-000
  
  13) Clicked on OK.
  
  RESULTS:
  
  Could reproduce the issue in test environment where
  7.6.1.3-IFIX20240430-1909 [with the latest IFIX.]
  Confirmed the current balance becomes 4.
  
  EXPECTED RESULTS:
  
  
  The current balance should become 3 because "1" is specified
  for "Quantity" on "Issue Current Item" dialog for the item where
  the current balance is 2

  Maximo Asset Management 7.6.1.2

  While returning the item through the Issue current Item
  functionality, if the transaction is unsuccessful due to any
  reason, it calculates the change in quantity incorrectly and
  thus leads to incorrect inventory balances.

• This will be fixed in a future release.
