Error description
VIOS at 3.1.4.00 or updated from 3.1.4.00 show this message during boot time. [STOP] Virtual I/O server detected, ASO will exit. The messages is displayed 2 or 3 times along with other normal boot messages.
Local fix
Comment out the aso entry from /etc/inittab EXAMPLE: aso:23456789:once:/usr/bin/startsrc -s aso Change to: #aso:23456789:once:/usr/bin/startsrc -s aso

aso not disabled ,when updating vios from 3.1.4.0 to 3.1.4.1

Packaging scripts modified to remove the entries where aso is not applicable
