Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: * * Impact Users * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: * * The parameter impact.jdbc.pool.createtime was missing on how * * to configuring the connection pool. * * * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * * You can control how long Impact waits for a connection pool * * creation by adding the impact.jdbc.pool.createtime property * * to the $IMPACT_HOME/etc/<servername>_server.prop file. * * * * Procedure : * * 1 Open the backend * * $IMPACT_HOME/etc/<servername>_server.props properties file. * * * * 2. Add the property * * impact.jdbc.pool.createtime=n * * * * Where n is the maximum number of milliseconds that Impact * * waits to create a connection pool. * * So, if this property is set to 4000 millisecond, Impact will * * wait for maximum of 4 seconds for creation of connection * * pool. * * If it is the case that connection pool has not be created * * then it needs to increase the time to wait for connection * * pool creation. * * So then impact.jdbc.pool.createtime should also be increased * * . * * * * 3. Restart the server to apply the changes * * * * Note: * * The default value for the impact.jdbc.pool.createtime * * property is 3000 milliseconds. * * If connection pool is not created in default time then the * * message: * * "Connection pool has not be created! May need to increase * * the time to wait for connection pool" will be seen in the * * log. * * * * Note: * * Properties in the $IMPACT_HOME/etc/<servername>_server.props * * file are not replicated so the same changes need to be * * applies on all cluster members. * ****************************************************************
