Local fix

  • Customer can set 'current' and 'current_64' symlinks manually.

Problem summary

  • The /usr/lpp/java/current symlink is not created when the Semeru
17 or 11 PTF package is installed.

Problem conclusion

  • The symbolic link 'current' always point to the highest
available Java release/architecture in the system. The order
of preference while setting 'current' is J17.0_64, J11.0_64,
J8.0_64 and J8.0.
The symbolic link 'current_64' always point to the highest
available 64-bit SDK in the system and its order of preference
is J17.0_64, J11.0_64 and J8.0_64.

This APAR will be fixed in the following Releases:
