IJ49065: IMPOSSIBLE TO DELETE A CRAFT IN SCHEDULING ALTERNATE RESOURCES ALTHOUGH NOT USED IN A WORK ORDER

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A craft cannot be deleted in Scheduling Alternate Resources,
  although it is not used in the Work Order. The following error
  is displayed
  BMXAT1066E - The default alternate availability cannot be
  removed.
  
  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  1. Go to Work order Tracking
  2. Create a new Work order TEST
  3. Move to Plans tab
  4. Move to Labor subtab
  5. Select Craft ELECT for 1 hour
  6. Save
  7. Go to Graphical Scheduling
  8. Create a schedule with the above Work Order
  9. On the More Information sub tab set Flag Use Alternate
  Availability
  10. Move to Graphical View
  11.Right click on the Work Order name
  12.Go to Work Order Tracking
  13.Move to Plans tab
  14.Move to Labor subtab
  15.Replace Craft ELECT with CARP for 1 hour
  16.Return
  17.Common Actions - Discard Changes and Refresh
  18. Right Click on the CARP resource
  19. Go to Scheduling Alternate Resources
  20. In the Modify Alternate Availability, only CARP is present
  21. Return
  22.Right click on the Work Order name
  23.Go to Work Order Tracking
  24.Move to Plans tab
  25.Move to Labor subtab
  26.Replace Craft CARP with ELECT for 1 hour
  27.Return
  28.Common Actions - Discard Changes and Refresh
  29. Right Click on the ELECT resource
  30. Go to Scheduling Alternate Resources
  31. In the Modify Alternate Availability, both ELECT and CARP
  are present
  31. Try to delete CARP
  
  RESULT:
  An error is displayed: BMXAT1066E - The default alternate
  availability cannot be removed.
