APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The MWM GUI does not work when description field is set to blank
in derby database.
This was seen after an upgrade from FP27 to FP31 which has an
enhancement to the MWM GUI.

Local fix

  • Delete the MWM Windows or perhaps set the MWM_DESCRIPTION FIELD
to 'eyJkZXNjcmlwdGlvbiI6IiJ9' from nci_db or the Impact Data
Model GUI.

New MWM page was not designed to account for scenarios where
users created their own maintenance windows from external
methods (i.e. non MWM-UI page). This caused the parsing of the
JSON field to break after decoding the string. This threw an
error and subsequently broke the page.
