APAR status

Error description

  • Error Message: A java.net.SocketException: EDC5138I No such
device or address. (getFlags() failed) is received when
attempting to retrieve the flags of an IPv6 Interface.

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • On z/OS, an ioctl call with macro SIOCGIFFLAGS is only valid for
receiving Network Interface flags of domain AF_INET, causing
this call to fail with AF_INET6 Network Interfaces.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The NetworkInterface implementation has been updated to properly
query flags for IPv6 interfaces.
