Error description
When using the Charge to Store functionality / flag on a work order, if the Asset used on the work order has historically appeared in different Site, when Maximo goes to move the Cost from the work korder into the Inventory Cost of the Asset, it seems to be selecting the Asset based on the first that appears in the query when it should be using the Asset Num + SiteID combination. STEPS TO REPLICATE: 1) Login as Wilson and change the default insert site to FLEET 2) Go to Item Master application and create a new item. Itemnum: ROT12345 Rotating: yes Capitalized: no Change it status to ACTIVE 3) Go to Assets application and create a new asset Asset: 12345 Location: LEASEUSA Itemnum: ROT12345 Change it status to DECOMMISSIONED 4) Go to Profile and change the default insert site to MCLEAN 5) Go to Assets application and create a new asset Asset: 12345 Location: 5THFLOOR Itemnum: ROT12345 Change it status to DECOMMISSIONED 6) Go to Profile and change the default insert site to BEDFORD 7) Go to Assets application and create a new asset Asset: 12345 Location: OFF301 Itemnum: ROT12345 Change it status to OPERATING 8) Go to Work Order Tracking application and create a new work order Asset: 12345 Location: OFF301 Charge to Store?: checked Complete all required fields Change status to APPR 9) Under Actuals tab > Material (could be Tools, Labor - It makes no difference which one is chosen) Line Type: MATERIAL Quantity: 100 Unit Cost: 1200.00 Line cost: 120000.00 Save Change Status to COMPLETE 10) Run the following query: SELECT A.ASSETNUM, A.SITEID, A.LOCATION, A.STATUS, A.STATUSDATE, A.INVCOST, A.ITEMNUM, B.ROTATING FROM ASSET A JOIN ITEM B ON A.ITEMNUM = B.ITEMNUM WHERE A.ASSETNUM = '12345'; CURRENT ERRONEOUS RESULT: It seems like Maximo is putting the cost against the first asset that appears in the system search (Siteid FLEET - status DECOMMISSIONED). 12345 FLEET LEASEUSA DECOMMISSIONED 2023-09-15 18:52:30.000 120000 ROT12345 1 12345 BEDFORD 5THFLOOR DECOMMISSIONED 2023-09-15 18:49:57.000 0 ROT12345 1 12345 BEDFORD OFF301 OPERATING 2023-09-15 18:54:33.000 0 ROT12345 1 EXPECTED RESULT: At this stage the Charge to Store functionality should take the actuals from the work order and put them against the Asset identified on the work order (Siteid BEDFORD - Status OPERATING) Version of Maximo: Maximo 7612 Application within Maximo: Assets
