Error description

• If an LDAP user's distinguished name contains an
  asterisk - for example:
  
  CN=Firstname *CONTRACTOR* Lastname,OU=Users,DC=Domain,
  DC=Com
  
  
  ...then their secondary groups may not be found.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• If an LDAP user's distinguished name contains an
  asterisk - for example:
  
  CN=Firstname *CONTRACTOR* Lastname,OU=Users,DC=Domain,
  DC=Com
  
  
  ...then their secondary groups may not be found.
  

Problem conclusion

• When building a filter, AIX's LDAP utility functions will
  replace asterisks with the 2A escaped representation.
