Description: 'BMXAA4214E - An unknown error...' when trying to issue an item/asset STEPS TO REPRODUCE: 1 Login to Maximo as maxadmin 2 Go to Item Master --> Create a new Item --> CRI002 (Child Rotating Item 2) Rotating - Checked Order Unit - Each Issue Unit - Each 3 Save the record 4 Change Status to Active Roll New Status to Organizations and Inventory? - Checked 5 More Actions --> Add Items to Storeroom Storeroom - Central 6 Create another new Item --> PRI002 (Parent Rotating Item 2) Rotating - Checked Order Unit - Each Issue Unit - Each 7 Save the record 8 Go to Item Assembly Structure tab and click on new row Enter rotating item CRI002 9 Change Status to Active Roll New Status to Organizations and Inventory? - Checked 10 More Actions --> Add items to Storeroom Storeroom - Central 11 Save the record 12 Go to Inventory and check PRI002 and CRI002 We can confirm that there are no Inventory Balance records for these items 13 Go to Purchasing and create a new Purchase Order (PO) --> 1103 Company - ATI-R 14 Go to PO Lines -- New Row Item: PRI002 (Parent Rotating Item 2) Storeroom - Central Qty - 3 (quantity does not matter; it can even be 1) 15 Approve the PO 16 Go to Receiving --> 1103 --> Select Ordered Items --> PRI002 17 Save the record 18 More Actions --> Receive Rotating Items 19 Click on Autonumber to get the respective asset numbers: Item PRI002 - 2123 (Asset number) Item PRI002 - 2124 (Asset number) Item PRI002 - 2125 (Asset number) 20 Apply the Item Assembly Structure (IAS) for each of the asset numbers above and do an Autonumber All So, Child Item CRI002 - 2126 (Asset number) Child Item CRI002 - 2127 (Asset number) Child Item CRI002 - 2128 (Asset number) 21 The PO receiving is complete now 22 Go to Assets and filter with Rotating Item = 'ri002' Now you have 3 Parent assets and 3 associated child assets in Central storeroom 23 Go to Inventory and filter with Rotating Item = 'ri002' Current balance of the Parent (PRI002) is 3 Inventory Balances section will have a line entry Current balance of the Child (CRI002) is 0 Inventory Balances section is empty This is CORRECT 24 Go to Inventory Usage --> Create new record Usage - 1029 From Storeroom - Central Usage Type - Issue 25 Save the record 26 Usage Lines --> New Row Item: PRI002 (Parent Rotating Item 2) Rotating Asset - 2124 Location - WEST GL Debit Account - 6290-300-000 27 Save the record 28 Common Actions --> Change Status to Complete RESULT: BMXAA4214E - An unknown error has occurred.
