Error description

  • While using the Apply Item Assembly Structure functionality on
an asset, if a user excludes some row in the area Asset
Hierarchy of the Apply Item Assembly Structure, specifically,
pressing Mark row for delete (bin icon), then undoes this by
pressing on the same row undo delete the item assembly
structure will be altered in the Item Master application.

    Steps to replicate:

    1. Go to Item Master application, create 3 different rotating
    items
    MYROT1, Rotating checkbox CHECKED
    MYROT2, Rotating checkbox CHECKED
    MYROT2, Rotating checkbox CHECKED

Define the Item Assembly Structure with a 3-level hierarchy
using the 3 previous items created as in the following
    illustration:

Level1 MYROT1, recall MYROT1, click on IAT tab, under Children
    click New row, Item=MYROT2

Level2 MYROT22, recall MYROT2, click on IAT tab, under
    Children click New row, Item=MYROT3

    2. Still in the Item Master application, open the MYROT1 and go
to the Item Assembly Structure tab, under Children data area
click chevron on Item=MYROT2 and select menu option "MOVE to
    MYROT2"

RESULT: the fields display on the record as follows: Top Level
    Item=MYROT1, Current Level=MYROT2, Belongs To=MYROT1, however,
Under Children data area it is BLANK

    3. Return to the List View tab and recall record Item=MYROT1
    Click to recall the record
Go to IAS tab Under Children area click the chevron next to
Field Item=MYROT2 and select menu option "Move to MYROT2"

RESULT: Under Children area there are no records listed. Now
Click New Row in Children area and add Item=MYROT3
    Save Record

    4. Go to the Asset application, create new record
Asset=MYROTASS1 and set Item Number=MYROT1 as the related
    rotating item

    5. Click on the menu option Apply Item Assembly Structure from
    the More Actions menu.

    6. In the Apply Item Assembly Structure dialogue box, under the
area Asset Hierarchy, mark the bin icon (mark row for delete)
    for the existing line

In same dialog box, press the undo icon on the same row (undo
    delete)

Click on the button Autonumber All

    Click on the button Ok

    7. Return to the Item Master application, open the record
Item=MYROT1 and go to the Item Assembly Structure tab, under
Children data area click chevron on Item=MYROT2 and select menu
    option "MOVE to MYROT2"

RESULT: the fields display as follows on the record: Top Level
    Item=MYROT1, Current Level=MYROT2, Belongs To=MYROT1, however,
Under Children data area it is now BLANK again
This is INCORRECT and is the issue being reported in this case
    by the client

EXPECTED RESULT: At this level, there should be an entry Under
Children data area for Item MYROT3

At this point, add the MYROT3 Item again under the Children area
while still on the Current Level=MYROT2 and saved the record

    8. Return to the Asset application
    Recall record Asset=MYROTASS1
    9. Under More Actions select "Apply Item Assembly Structure"

    10. In Apply Item Assembly Structure dialogue box under Asset
Hierarchy area click the chevron next to Item=MYROT2 and select
    menu option "Move to MYROT2"
Now under the Item Hierarchy area, click the chevron next to
field Belongs To=MYROT1 and select menu option "Move to MYROT1"

RESULT: the following System Message is displayed

BMXAA4107E - Because of an implementation or customization
problem, the system cannot determine how the attributes of
