• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Unable to customize the caa.debug line in syslog.conf.
  For example:
      1-) Change the following line:
           caa.debug    /var/adm/ras/syslog.caa
      2-) reboot the system and and additional caa.debug
  line will be added
           to the /etc/syslog.conf file.
           ===
           caa.debug    /var/adm/ras/syslog.caa
           caa.debug /var/adm/ras/syslog.caa rotate size
  10m files 10 compress
           ====
  

Local fix

• Adding a trailing space after /var/adm/ras/syslog.caa.
  

Problem summary

• A trailing space following the caa.debug line in the
  syslog.conf file causes the default value to be appended to the
  file and used instead of the user modified line.
  

Problem conclusion

• Trailing spaces are now allowed for the caa.debug line of the
  syslog.conf file.
