APAR status

Error description

  • Impact connections to Objectserver over SSL produce the
following log entries in Objectserver:

2021-10-21T16:32:46: Error: E-IVM-005-002: OpenServer - Error:
16240/10/0: Net-Library routine failed in srv__io_check
Network error: status = 32 - Net-Lib protocol driver call to
read data failed
Error -1:SSL: Peer closed socket before protocol completion.

The connections from Impact are successful.   The above messages
are extraneous.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
* When Impact connects to the ObjectServer in SSL mode, Impact *
* is working fine and ObjectServer is working fine, but        *
* ObjectServer produces an error in the logs.                  *
*                                                              *

* Network error: status = 32 - Net-Lib protocol driver call to *

* Error -1:SSL: Peer closed socket before protocol completion. *

* Impact does a "ping" to host:port but essentially creates a  *
* Socket before opening a connection (to test the connection), *
* now Impact will open SSL Socket for a "ping" test connection *
* if ObjectServer is set to run in SSL Mode.                   *
