IJ43403: IN THE PURCHASE REQUISITIONS APPLICATION, PR NOT BEING REOPENED WHEN RELATED LINES ARE CLEARED FROM ASSOCIATED CONTRACT.

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    
    1. Go to Organizations application.
    
    2. Bring up EAGLENA Organization.
    
    3. From More Actions menu, select Purchase Options > PO Options,
    and make sure that "Close PR/RFQ When All PR/RFQ Lines Have Been
    Copied to POs or Contracts?" option is selected.
    
    4. Go to Purchase Requisitions application.
    
    5. Create a new PR against any valid Vendor and with just 1 PR
    Line as the following:
    Line Type: Service
    Description: Service1
    Quantity: 1.00
    Order Unit: EACH
    Unit Cost: 1.00
    Charge To > GL Debit Account: any valid GL Account
    
    6. Save, approve PR and take note of its number.
    
    7. From More Actions menu, select Create Contract.
    
    8. In the Create Contract dialog box, click on Autonumber
    button, take note of the Contract number and click OK.
    
    9. Note that, as expected, at this point the PR gets closed.
    
    10. Go to Purchase Contracts application.
    
    11. Bring up the Contract created above and authorize BEDFORD
    Site.
    
    12. Approve Contract.
    
    13. Revise Contract and delete the associated PR Line from the
    Contract.
    
    14. Add a new Contract Line manually as the following, save and
    approve Contract:
    Line Type: Service
    Description: Service2
    Quantity: 1.00
    Order Unit: EACH
    Unit Cost: 1.00
    
    15. Go to Purchase Requisitions application.
    
    16. Bring up the PR in question.
    
    RESULTS:
    The PR remains closed and the Contract is still referenced in
    the PR Line.
    
    EXPECTED RESULTS:
    The PR should reopen and the Contract should no longer be
    referenced in the PR Line.
