IJ41710: IMPROVE DIAGNOSTICS FOR MALFORMED PDE PROJECT

Error description

• The customer develops & maintains applications for CICS 5.5
  Liberty & OSGI JVMServers, using Eclipse (w/CICS Explorer
  5.5.16 for Aqua V3.2 plus SDK for the entire set of
  Web/Jakarta/EE / Osgi bundles types of applications).
  
  Suddenly, they hit a problem where an OSGI Bundle project cannot
  be "seen" when attempting to include it in a "CICS Bundle"
  project using the CICS Resource type "OSGI Bundle Include".
  
  
  The customer is hitting this stack trace:

  While trying to add an OSGi project to the bundle manifest.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• When an OSGi project is malformed, for instance when one OSGi
  project is embedded within the another one, and an attempt to
  include the OSGi project in a CICS Bundle project is carried out
  the projects will not be shown correctly.  CICS Explorer throws
  Null Pointer Exception (NPE).
  

Problem conclusion

• CICS Explorer has been updated to ignore a malformed OSGi
  project when an attempt to include this malformed project in a
  CICS Bundle project is carried out.

  This fix will be made available in Version 5.5.24 of the CICS
  Explorer.
