  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Kernel thread latency may be high in certain scenarios
thereby impacting IO performance in VFC client driver
(vfc_kproc)

Local fix

  • Use flexctl kernel service to inform the kernel that
the vfc_kproc threads need reduced latency.

Problem summary

  • After migrating to 7.2 TL5, system could face slower i/o
throughput under certain workloads

Problem conclusion

  • Added flexctl support to vfc_kproc threads
