Error description

  • PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    
    BIRT report displays blank output due to emoji
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    
    1 Open the Anywhere Service Request app on a mobile device and
    create a new service request
    2 In the Summary field, enter some text and an emoji. Save the
    record.
    
    3 In Maximo (Desktop), open the Service Request application and
    select the same service request record
    4 The Summary field is displaying the text and the emoji.
    5 Select 'Create / Work Order' action
    6 Open the Work Order Tracking application and select the work
    order generated from service request
    7 The Description field is displaying the text and the emoji
    from the SR, like on the desktop Service Requests application.
    8 Select 'Run Reports' action, select 'Work Order Details' and
    select 'Immediate' option
    9 The BIRT Report Viewer screen opens in a new browser window
    
    
    ACTUAL BEHAVIOUR:  Report content is blank (only the
    navigation bar is displayed).
    EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR: Report should display
